California Trip-Disneyland

February 20-21
Of course the kids didn't think we were going to 'California' for our vacation, we were going to 'Disneyland.' Nana has always dreamed of riding the teacups since she was a little girl and so as soon as we began planning our trip, she planned on coming with us. As the trip got closer, we convinced Grandpa to come too. Despite the teacups being closed the first day due to rain, Nana got to ride the teacups. We spent two days at Disneyland and loved that cousins, Seth, Kari, Ricky & Katie Hamilton and Karen Mittleman joined us for some of the time.
Disneyland was as magical as ever.
Who doesn't love Disneyland?

California Trip-Huntington Beach

The kids LOVED playing at the beach. They loved the wet sand, the water and the starfish. Cousins, Kari, Ricky and Katie Hamilton joined us for the fun. After everyone was well and truly wet and cold-we enjoyed dinner at a diner on the pier.

California Trip-SeaWorld

Our first full day in California we went to SeaWorld. It was a 11/2 hour drive from the hotel in Anaheim...A very long drive with 4 kids excited about the first destination. As we pulled into the gates of SeaWorld trying to navigate where to go, I was turned around in the back holding a bag for Ellie while she threw up...Welcome to SeaWorld.
We enjoyed the day at SeaWorld. We all loved the Shamu show the best. We also loved that Sandy and Kristen Mittleman (Hsao) joined us for the day. The ride back to the hotel was no more peaceful than the ride to SeaWorld. Everyone was arguing about something-everyone was tired and hungry and some wet.... Megan and Luke were half dressed as they had gone on a water-ride and got wet! But also, at the top of the waterslide Luke decided he "had to go." And you know how it is, "When you gotta go, you gotta go!"
All of my promises to Mike of not snapping or being ornery on the trip were broken THE FIRST DAY!!!!
