"What happened here today? asked the husband, the wife smiles and answers, 'You know every day when you come home from work and you ask me what I did all day? 'Yes,' was his incredulous reply. She answered, 'Well, today I didn't do it."
I never tire of reading it. It is so true, it is no exaggeration to the type of days mothers frequently have. My photos are proof!!!
So,
To you readers and friends who have yet to have children-yes, this is the sad reality you too will one day face.
To you readers and friends who are in my same stage of life, I know you feel my pain.
And to you dear readers and friends, who are past this stage. Please don't tell me I will one day miss it.
Will I? Do you? Really? Will I miss washing messy chocolaty faces? Or miss cleaning up after a yogurt-eating turned yogurt-finger painting experience? Or possibly miss vacuming up the results of a pencil sharpener exploration? Or miss picking up pieces from a mishap with a box of Lucky Charms?
What did I do today? The answer is simple.
Look what Joshua did today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Look what Joshua did today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know I was going to tell you that you were going to miss this one day....but then I got to thinking, I don't miss it, so why should she! The funny thing is that it's Joshua in every picture.....busy busy boy :)
In regards to the above statement under the heading "leave your comment" the comment I want to leave would make you LOL :-)
Ugh! I'm really feeling your pain today. The toys were left strewn over the floor and I was barely able to feed my child anything remotely like a meal.
I definitely feel your pain and I wonder the same thing when people tell me to enjoy it because one day I'll miss it. I'm sure there are some things I will miss, but cleaning up messes and chasing after busy little kids won't be one of them!
People are constantly saying to us, "when they are teenagers you'll wish they were home making messes for you to clean up." And Alan's response is always, "They may be causing trouble somewhere, but at least they can make their own toast and wipe their own butt!" I don't think I'll miss days like today!
May I say that I don't miss it necessarily, but cleaning physical messes is a little easier than teen age messes.Although, you provide me with great laughs, you will laugh someday. You kids can say and do horrible things...all a chance for you to reinforce the gospel to them..telling people they are fat or have monkey ears....acting like you abuse them when you are trying with every ounce of power to not beat them as they deserve and using a gentle voice....we need to talk!
